LOT Polish Airlines is continuing its drive towards enhancing the passenger experience. The new LOT Business Lounge at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport will be the first space of its kind outside Europe. It will be opening in the second half of 2024. Much like the new interiors for the aircraft, the lounge’s new interior will be characterised by a refreshed modern design, which will be light years ahead of the current cramped SAS lounge that the airline currently uses in Chicago.

I’ve just returned from a LOT Polish Airlines trip to Chicago, which i’ve covered on YouTube, which showcases the potential the carrier has, and when matched with lounge and interior cabin designs like this, there’s an exciting new future for the carrier.
Several zones will be available for passengers to make waiting for their journey even more comfortable. It makes sense that Chicago is the first destination outside of Poland to receive a LOT branded lounge represents a key destination in the United States because of its Polish diaspora. There are also local touches such as amber and products from Polish partners. The airline is finalising the design of the interior fit-out and has invited a prestigious architectural firm in Chicago to collaborate on the design.

“I feel truly delighted that we can now break the news of the construction of the LOT Business Lounge at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport. The new, and at the same time first business lounge outside Europe is another milestone in the development of our company. We want the space to symbolise the Polish hospitality which LOT is inextricably associated with. I do believe that it will help us offer a fantastic experience to our guests”, says Izabela Leszczyńska, Director of the Product Development and Customer Experience Department.

The new LOT Polish Airlines Business Lounge in Chicago will cover a total of 617 sqm and will be situated in the central part of the terminal. An unquestionable highlight of the space will be the view of the airport apron. Inside it, passengers will have the opportunity to enjoy three zones: relaxation, work and catering. The work zone will be furnished with appropriate laptop tables and charging stations for electronic devices. In the catering zone, passengers will have the opportunity to sit comfortably and enjoy a wide range of food and beverages including an impressive bar area.

The relaxation zone – quiet, darkened and separated from the other areas – will be just perfect for all travellers who dream of a moment alone, suited to the evening departures that LOT offers from Chicago. The Business Lounge will be open to LOT Polish Airlines passengers and partner programme cardholders.
As I do every year, I ask on your kind support to keep things going. If you are able to donate – whatever amount – it all gets funnelled back in to the site, to keep the site full of content. And I thank you personally for your kind support.
